Our Organisation

We are an exporter and wholesaler of FMCG products, employing over 80 people. We work with a trusted and established network of suppliers across different product divisions to ensure that we provide reliable and responsible products to our customers. Most of our suppliers are based in the UK, and our office and warehouse are located in Southall, West London, UK.

Our policies

SMART GENERAL TRADING LTD is committed to conducting business responsibly. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery, including slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour. We ensure that all our business dealings are ethical, and we take steps to prevent any form of modern slavery in our business or supply chain.

We have several internal policies to maintain ethical business practices. Our team is trained to identify signs of modern slavery and act accordingly.

We also have a whistleblowing policy, encouraging employees to raise concerns about colleagues' treatment or business practices within our operations or supply chain, without fear of retaliation.

Due Diligence Processes

We use robust technical and traceability systems to ensure our products are sourced responsibly from suppliers who share our values. We require our suppliers to follow all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to anti-slavery and human trafficking.

This statement has been approved by the Board in accordance with the requirements of section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which applies to SMART GENERAL TRADING LTD for the financial year ending 2024.
